Detailed Description of the Data Product

Analysis result product associated with a given MER pipeline run. This product collects all the results from the MER analysis pipeline.

The analysis report contains information about the mosaics depths, source detection statistics, the catalog astrometric and photometric accuracy, as well as many useful figures displaying different source morphological parameters, the mosaic PSFs and the star-galaxy classification and background subtraction results.

The report content changes depending of the reference catalog that is passed as input to the analysis pipeline (e.g. a SIM True Universe catalog or a Gaia catalog).

The main elements inside this product are:

  • Result: The global analysis result (PASSED or FAILED).

  • TileIndex: The MER tile index.

  • PatchIdList (optional): The sky patch ids associated to the product.

  • ObservationIdList (optional): List of unique IDs identifying the Euclid observations that were used to generate the product.

  • CalblockIdList (optional): The calibration block ids associated to the product.

  • ProcessingMode: The MER pipeline processing mode (e.g. WIDE, DEEP) used to generate the product.

  • AnalysisFiles: Element that links to the tar files containing the analysis figures and reports.
