Detailed description of the data product

This data product contains the list and description of the detected clusters. It is the output product combcloutClusters from PF DET-CL.

Keywords

This fits file is expected to contain the following keywords in the primary HDU, characterizing the main parameters of the “clusters detection” product.

KEYWORDS COMMON TO BOTH DETECTION CODES: GENERAL PARAMETERS

  1. DET_CODE: Name of the detection algorithm (AMICO or PZWAV) (*)

  2. MIN_Z: lower limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  3. MAX_Z: upper limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  4. SNR_THR: the S/N threshold for extracting a detection

KEYWORDS COMMON TO BOTH DETECTION CODES: COSMOLOGY PARAMETERS

  1. OMEGA_MAT: matter energy density

  2. OMEGA_VAC: vacuum energy density

  3. HUBBLE_PAR: Hubble parameter in 100 Km/s/(Mpc/h)

  4. W_EQ_STATE: dark energy equation of state

  5. N_EFF: effective number of relativistic species

  6. TEMP_CMB: CMB temperature

Currently, a flat LCDM model is assumed, depending only on HUBBLE_PAR and OMEGA_MAT. The list above allows a broader choice for the cosmological model (wCDM).

[*] NOTE: Depending on detection algorithm (AMICO or PZWAV) which produced this data, some additional specific keywords would complete this list (see detclPZWAVClusters and ref:detclAMICOClusters). These specific keywords, though, are in principle not used by COMB-CL.

Table

The table of the “combclClusters” product is expected to contain the following columns, for each detected cluster :

  1. CLUSTER_ID: identifier number for the detected cluster

  2. RA: right ascension and declination of the cluster center (degrees)

  3. DEC: declination of the cluster center (degrees)

  4. Z: cluster redshift estimate

  5. Z_ERR:: error associated to the cluster redshift estimate

  6. SNR: signal-to-noise ratio of the detection [*]

  7. RADIUS: radius associated to the detection (arcmin) [*]

  8. RICHNESS: absolute richness parameter (namely a redshift-independent quantity to be eventually used as a mass proxy) (*)

[*]: The SNR, RADIUS, and RICHNESS quantities may have different definitions depending on the considered detection code (keyword DET_CODE). The user should refer to the SDD and scientific documentation of the corresponding code.
