Introduction

EXT-DES is the Euclid SGS Processing Function responsible for producing calibrated exposures from the raw scientific and calibration exposures of the Dark Energy Survey camera DECam.

The EXT-DES stage 1 PF receives raw DES exposure from EAS through the Euclid SGS orchestration system. It removes instrument effects from calibration and science data and returns one image per CCD detector of the focal plane for ingestion into EAS.

The images will be taken by the MER processing function to produce stacks.
